01 - Process
Balkan Blockchain Association was a contest project developed for SoftUni Fest 2018, a national design competition. The challenge was to create a visual identity for an organization representing the rapidly growing blockchain ecosystem in Southeast Europe. The identity needed to communicate innovation, trust, and collaboration while appealing to industry professionals, investors, institutions, and emerging blockchain companies. The project was completed within the competition timeframe and was awarded first place.
The identity is centered around a logo that merges several blockchain-related concepts into a unified symbol, including connectivity, network structures, chains, repetition, infinity, and openness. These principles inform the broader visual system, whose geometric forms create consistency across applications. Combined with a bold and distinctive color palette, the identity establishes strong recognition while reflecting the innovative nature of the blockchain ecosystem.
