Project overview

Stray Sheep is a training and digital solutions company in the field of sign language and accessible communication.

  • For audiences interested in sign language education and accessibility
  • For professionals and communities focused on inclusion, communication and social initiatives
  • For educators, NGOs and professionals working in social impact and education
01 - Rebranding

Stray Sheep had already established several recognizable visual assets, including the logo, the green board, and the lecturers themselves. However, the overall identity lacked consistency in colour, typography, and composition. Visual content was produced by multiple contributors, and unstructured file organisation created additional challenges. While the logo remained recognizable, it was not yet integrated into a coherent visual system.

Taking these factors into account, along with the types of ads and content they produce, a new visual system was developed. It is designed to be flexible and easy to apply, with minimal reliance on photography, and tailored both to their target audience and the needs of the internal team.

02 - Visual Identity

The logo remains unchanged, preserving existing recognition. Shapes derived from it are extended into the broader shape language to maintain visual consistency across the system. The green board has been adjusted to a darker tone for improved contrast and readability. A new hand alphabet was developed, bolder typography was introduced, and the color system was structured to support the different types of content accents required across applications.

03 - Alphabet

A new hand alphabet was developed based on their sign language courses and previous version, addressing earlier limitations by introducing clearer, more distinct hand signs that are easier to recognize and reproduce, while also using cleaner, more rounded forms that translate better into digital content.

04 - Digital and Print Materials

Stray Sheep produces a wide range of content on a weekly basis, from social media posts and ads to flyers, presentations, and certificates. The new visual system is designed to remain flexible across all of these formats, adapting to different content needs while maintaining consistency in structure, typography, and visual language across both digital and print applications.

05 - Landing Page, Signa Platform

The main purpose of the Signa landing page is to quickly and clearly orient users to the range of online sign language courses the platform offers. From a descriptive hero section to benefits, lecturers, and testimonials, every part of the page is structured with the user experience in mind.

The design is implemented by Studio New Era.
